In the context of Community Music, intervention projects should be a driver for personal development and social change, involving collaborative music-making through acts of co-creation between the facilitator and participants. In Portugal, projects of this kind are still little known. This article aims to present the process developed in a musical project with people with disabilities, and to analyze how the voice of the participants was heard. The project "I am Happy at AFID!" was implemented between November 5, 2020, and May 27, 2021, at the AFID Difference Foundation, created by the National Association of Families for the Integration of Disabled People (AFID). The conceptual framework of the Project Methodology was adopted to design and implement this intervention. The process culminated in the presentation of three artistic objects: a CD with original musical creations, a musical performance, and a visual installation. Throughout this project, the importance of listening and the active intervention of all agents became evident. It is urgent to disseminate and reflect on the role of this type of project, so that transformation processes can take place in more communities and be significant in terms of people's maximum well-being.
