Abstract

The present article intends to reflect on the development and production process of the Archive Cinema Workshop, held between 2020 and 2021, with the participation of 20 students from the municipal education network of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The workshop proposed to the participants the construction of a film-essay, elaborated from the narration and archive material of the educators themselves. Here we will discuss theoretical issues around the scope of the workshop and analyze its production based on the short film made by 14-year-old student Julianna Lopes.
