O direito das crianças a participar - desafios nas interações do quotidiano

Neste artigo pretende-se ilustrar o modo como o direito das crianças à participação se evidencia em documentos legais em vigor no domínio da educação da primeira infância naNoruega. Questões relativas às opiniões das crianças, à sua compreensão dos conceitos de democracia e de jogo, que influenciam a forma como esse direito é vivido nas práticas da
infância, são tomadas como ponto de partida para discutir possíveis armadilhas.
Com base na análise de um estudo qualitativo em profundidade em dois jardins de infância noruegueses (crianças entre 3-6 anos), são apresentados esses dois exemplos para discutir a participação das crianças, que inclua mais do que escolhas de rotinas individualistas. O artigo remata com um olhar crítico sobre conceptualizações utilizadas nas práticas com crianças,
quer em contexto de jardim de infância, quer em contexto de investigação, argumentando-se no sentido de justificar a necessidade de autorreflexão crítica entre os pesquisadores da área.
