Abstract

O ensino e a aprendizagem da Matemática constituem, hoje em dia, uma área de estudos educacionais com grande vitalidade, em termos nacionais e internacionais. Este número da revista apresenta alguns trabalhos que, de algum modo, são sugestivos do que se faz atualmente neste campo, quer relativamente aos estudos sobre o ensino-aprendizagem, quer relativamente às práticas profissionais dos professores, quer ainda no que respeita às práticas de formação inicial e contínua relativamente aos 1.º e 2.º ciclos do ensino básico. Um trabalho de autores espanhóis recorda-nos que o ensino da Matemática é um fenómeno internacional e alerta-nos para a grande importância dos materiais curriculares bem como da atenção que é necessário dar aos alunos com elevadas capacidades em matemática – dois assuntos muito pouco trabalhado entre nós.
