Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process.

The journal accepts the submission of manuscripts that have been previously made available on preprint servers. The existence of a prior version on a preprint server does not constitute grounds for exclusion nor does it affect the editorial or scientific evaluation of the article.

Authors must indicate, at the time of submission, the electronic address (URL) or the persistent identifier (DOI) of the corresponding preprint, ensuring that the submitted version reflects any revisions or updates resulting from received feedback.

If the manuscript is accepted for publication, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with the bibliographic reference and DOI of the published version in the journal, in order to ensure traceability and transparency between versions.

The journal encourages the responsible use of preprints as a practice of open science, in accordance with the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
