Abstract

Perceived and designed as a means of acting on the relationship with art, the practices of cultural mediation designate a set of techniques which act on subjectivity. They do this by justifying themselves with contrasting ideologies. Should they continue to be applied as biopolitical techniques for shaping subjectivity or can they be invented as so many ways of drawing subjectivity into a more spontaneous, more vital, in a word more existential, relationship to art and to herself? It is in the light of such a question that an ethics of mediation certainly seeks to (re)formulate itself.

Gilles Suzanne, Aix-Marseille Université

Maître de conférences Habilité à Diriger des Recherches, chercheur au sein du Laboratoire d'Études en Sciences des Arts (UR 3274), enseignant en esthétique, a été responsable des diplômes en Médiation culturelle des arts au sein d'AMU. Ses travaux portent sur les pratiques et les espaces de la médiation des arts (Esthétique de la médiation. Approche théorique, historique et critique d'une pratique et d'une notion, PUP, 2022), les pratiques d'avant-garde de la poésie contemporaine (La poésie à outrance, Presses du Réel, 2015 ; La cinquième feuille, Presses du Réel, 2020) et les scènes artistiques sur les pourtours sud de la Méditerranée (A fond de cale. Une histoire du jazz à Marseille 1917-2012, Wild Project, 2012 ; Combat de la culture. Culture du Combat. Scènes artistiques et sociétés en mouvement dans le monde arabo-méditerranéen, 2021).
