A educação em ciências e a intervenção sociopolítica em questões socioambientais e sociocientíficas: uma experiência na formação inicial de professores e educadores

Este artigo assenta essencialmente na importância, na formação inicial de professores e educadores, de uma intervenção sociopolítica em diferentes comunidades como estratégia fundamental para uma abordagem pedagógica construtiva do pensamento docente e discente. Assim, nesta perspetiva, apresenta-se os resultados obtidos na implementação do projeto “We act”, na Escola Superior de Educação Jean Piaget de Almada e na unidade curricular de Atelier e Didática das Ciências e Educação Ambiental. Para o efeito, realizou-se um estudo de natureza metodológica mista, de modo a compreender o impacto das atividades propostas pelos diferentes grupos de estudantes
Os resultados obtidos indiciam a necessidade e a urgência em mudarmos as nossas práticas e traçarmos novos caminhos que promovam a mudança metodológica e pedagógica, assente em estratégias diferenciadas, e um ensino centrado no estudante. Sugerem também que este envolvimento em atividades de ação sociopolítica, sobre questões socioambientais e sócio- científicas, contribuem para alterar comportamentos e ampliar os conceitos. Estes estudantes, futuros docentes, ganharam, assim, uma nova postura, assente na importância da ciência para o quotidiano, para a resolução de problemas das comunidades.Downloads
